Hey Joe - I'm afraid I'm going to chuck a grenade in your general direction... there's no way that 'a corridor' with a painting at the end of it can be a sufficiently ambitious response to this 8 week project brief in which you've been asked to think creatively about an entire metropolis. You've derived a variety of interesting forms, but chosen 'not' to use them. So, my simple instruction is for you to attempt another concept painting - but I want you to work as Jordan showed you - i.e. using Maya shapes to block out engaging compositions in the first instance, and then create a series of paint-overs. I suggest you use this method to generate a range of quick Maya-bashed thumbnails exploring different POVs and set-ups of your various structures, and then work up your final outcome that way. @Phil me when you've uploaded a bunch of new paint-over style thumbnails. You should seek to move quickly and fearlessly on this - just get stuck in, roll up your sleeves and get some thumbs done and dusted. Onwards!
