Storytelling & Commission: My 3 Story Words

The 3 words/phrases I picked out of the Blue Box were:

Character: Hired Assassin
Place: Waxworks
Prop: Box of Matches

Aside from the obvious of the Assassin using the matches to melt the Waxwork's figures, there are already a couple of ideas I am toying with on how to incorporate the different objects into the scene, and what kind of demeanour and personality the "Assassin" would have. Looking forward to creating the animatics and pre-viz!

  1. You could have something where the wax works creates the problems and obstacles as clues are hidden within the wax that the hired assassin needs or something...

    1. Oooo, that's actually a pretty good idea, I like it!

  2. Hired assassin could be like seriously mentally deranged and makes his own waxwork museum of all his victims. The box of matches could be his signature way of assassinating people - arson??? Your animatic could be a mini episode of criminal minds or something.

    1. I hadn't thought of the waxwork figures being his victims! Thank you for suggesting that!

  3. Perhaps the assassin could be someone that tests each batch of candles, or whoever comes to the back and takes them to the store. I think you could do a lot of cool stuff if you make the candles characters and tell it from their perspective.

    1. That could actually be really interesting, he appears as a hired assassin to the waxwork figures because he's the one that has to melt them down when new exhibits come in! Thank you for this idea! :)
